Robbie Rogers is not just another artist; his exuberance for life is evident in his art. By contemplating his creations you participate in a portion of his life. His subjects are found in out-of-the way places leading us to realize we have lost many treasures in this hurried world that cannot be regained.

He was born during 1940 in a small rural town in Arkansas. The youthful years he spent in the farm belt left definite traces on the essence of his work; consequently his love for the rural life and its people will continue to play an even greater role in his creative career.

During his professional life Robbie traveled throughout Europe and the U.S.A.. Nevertheless, his appreciation for the Gulf Coast led him to continue to live North West Florida where he has resided for over 48 years.

Though largely self-taught he has studied and worked with many well known national and international artists, such as Edmond Fitzgerald, Zoltan Szabo and Milton Lenoir. Besides working in various engineering fields he has worked as an illustrator, editor, tech writer, photographer, designer, webmaster and commercial artist, completing many full color illustrations and brochures with world-wide distribution.

Robbie successfully operated his own art gallery for eight years. He is currently retired and lives on a small bayou in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida with his wife of 53 years. Robbie's devotion to nature cause him to spend many hours feeling and listening to the natural things and the creatures that surround his home. He is an avid outdoorsman and gardener who cherishes wildlife and nature to its fullest.

His works remind us that life's miracles are all around us. His beach scenes are not just sand and sea oats, but, rather a fresh reality that should be experienced, not over looked. The fishermen, boats, sea birds, barns, gristmills, farms, animals, weather vanes and countless other subjects are but memories of the past for some, but in his work we find them living forever.
